Samarind Limited is one of the longest established (since 1987) bespoke software houses in the UK, and has a demonstrable track record of innovation through developing business critical software applications on time and within budget for over two decades.

Samarind’s involvement and experience within the medicines and healthcare industry stretches back over fifteen years and includes the development of an eclectic mix of bespoke database applications, where its innovative approach has helped to produce fit for purpose solutions for our customers. These include analytical laboratory systems, electronic document management systems (EDMS), reporting systems, and of course regulatory affairs information management systems including the Windows version of its Regulatory Management Software, Samarind RMS.

Samarind RMS was first introduced in 2004. Since then the software has been implemented at many global pharmaceutical companies and has users in over 100 countries. Users find it quick to learn and flexible and easy to use, as well as providing a comprehensive regulatory affairs (RA) toolset. In 2008 Samarind recognised that even its moderately priced system was beyond the reach of many medium-sized and smaller pharmaceutical companies. Samarind then developed an internet-based version of the software that was launched in 2010 and won the inaugural TOPRA Innovation Award in the same year.

Since winning the Innovation Award in October 2010, Samarind have felt a significant and positive effect on its business.
